Next Train Out of Town
(written and composed by Jess Wright)
By Saturday, the weekend’s halfway gone
Waits for epiphanies to start streaking across the lawn
Now her big escape feels like it’s locked from the outside
Told me she likes to run... but then where would she hide
(Hide)
She said I don’t know where I’m going
 I can’t see what I’ve left behind
 Crossed the line
Will someone catch me when I’m crumbling down
Or should I take the next train out of town
She passes every day with two coffees and cream
Today she threw one away, sat down, and talked to me
Now I had never seen a Monet so up close
About to ask her name, and she was out the door
(Out the door)
She said I don’t know where I’m going
 I can’t see what I’ve left behind
 Crossed the line
Will someone catch me when I’m crumbling down
Or should I take the next train out of town
Through the lights
And mistakes
 Run away
To my day in the sun
She said I don’t know where I’m going
 I can’t see what I’ve left behind
 Crossed the line
Will someone catch me when I’m crumbling down
Or should I take the next train out of town
